What is XVenture?  

It's "SURVIVOR" meets "ECO-CHALLENGE" meets "THE AMAZING RACE"

Organisations from around Australia compete in XVenture, the first corporate adventure-based television event filmed in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland, challenging 14 corporate teams in a four-day event across terrain as diverse as the rainforest, the reef, the river and the city. 

Each participating company was represented by a six-member team comprising three men and three women.   

Teams are set major challenges to test mental and physical agility, to “think on their feet” with strategy and team tactics playing an essential role. Challenges are designed to mirror corporate Australia and to educate, motivate and develop teamwork.  

Teams were treated to VIP guest speakers who shared their thoughts on teamwork and leadership.

Filmed over four days on location Tropical North Queensland late September 2011, the XVenture Corporate Challenge screens Saturdays at 11am on channel ONE (Ten Network) for eight weeks from December 10. Catch up episodes screen on Sky News Business Channel from December 16.  

 

How is XVenture helping children and families affected by rare diseases? 

The Steve Waugh Foundation is the social justice partner of the XVenture Challenge.  

In the inaugural series of 2011, the XVenture Challenge donated $50,000 to the Steve Waugh Foundation. 

The Steve Waugh Foundation is working to help change things for children with a rare disease by giving hope, providing medicine, equipment and treatment, supporting education and research, partnering with other like agencies and organisations as well as supporting specific projects and programs. 

We invite you to join the Steve Waugh Foundation to give our children with a rare disease and their families ‘somewhere to turn’.
