Medical Health Advisory Committee
The Steve Waugh Foundation understands that its core expertise does not extend to specialised medical and health knowledge and expertise. The Foundation has established an Australian Medical Health Advisory Committee.
A Global Medical Health Advisory Panel is currently under development.
Purpose
To provide medical, health and advisory support to the Grants Committee on matters relating to applications received by the Steve Waugh Foundation Australia; and background expertise, knowledge and experience of rare diseases in the medical and health arena to make informed decisions and plan strategically to deliver the Mission of the Foundation.
Objectives: To
- Review and identify applications relevant to SWF Australia
- Provide advisory support to the Grants Committee on matters relating to the financial support of applicants
- Provide advice to the Grants Committee on the application process (eg timing, what will be funded and when)
- Advise the Grants Committee on other organisations that unsuccessful applicants may approach for support
- Research and provide information so that the Grants Committee can make informed decisions and strategic plans
