CONGRATULATIONS to JAMES KNIGHT ON COMPLETING THE NORTH FACE
100
The Foundation would like to congratulate James Knight on a
mammoth effort in completing the gruelling North Face 100 in just less than
16.5 hours on the 15th of May .
This race is certainly not for the faint-hearted. Covering
steep and rugged trails through the beautiful but also treacherous Blue Mountains
west of Sydney, it included sections down ladders through tight crevices with many
of the 500-strong field running long into the night in near freezing
conditions.
James was blessed with fantastic weather over the weekend
and had a great team supporting him throughout the journey. But none of this
stacks up against his sheer guts and determination in completing the event.
And if just finishing the event wasn’t enough of a feat,
James also managed to raise over $5,000 for the Foundation.
We can’t wait to see the documentary James is putting
together on the event and enjoyed the many TV and Radio interviews he did both before
and after the event.

lows (and yes there were tears), I feel privileged to have had the
opportunity
to be part of such an inspiring, albeit gut wrenching race. The body
feels OK
